Ophthalmos has a patented therapy of moderate to severe dry eyes using omega 3 therapy.
‘Omega 3 is beneficial for dry eyes when given at the correct dose and ratio of EPA to DHA. This is simply decided by using a blood test to measure the ratio of AA to EPA’ said Dr Tassos Georgiou, founder and director of Ophthalmos Research and Educational Institute who is also the patent owner in USA and Europe for using omega 3 to treat moderate to severe dry eyes.
A recent multicentre double blind placebo controlled randomised study published in September 2016 confirms the results discovered by Ophthalmos.
