Regeneration of Optic nerve cells discovered by Ophthalmos Research Team in collaboration with Taiwan

Ophthalmos Research Team is committed to researching and developing innovative potential therapeutic solutions for eye diseases. Following our initial encouraging results of the first clinical observations in patients with ischaemic Optic neuropathy, Ophthalmos is collaborating with Dr Tsai’s Research Team at the Institute of Medical Sciences at Tzu Chi Iniversity, Taiwan.

We have shown for the first time that the retinal ganglion cells of the Optic nerve can be regenerated following ischaemic injury using the Ophthalmos patented treatment.

‘This is an extremely exciting time for Ophthalmos Research Team. We have shown regeneration of retinal ganglion cells for the first time which provides hope for million of patients worldwide for improvement in vision’ said Dr Tassos Georgiou who is the head of the Ophthalmos Research Team

Ophthalmos Research Team in collaboration with Dr Tsai’s Research Team will publish the results soon.
